Phrase of the Day

One of the things I love most about Mommyhood is teaching my daughter new phrases.

Mommy:  Bear say “I love you mommy.”

Bear:  Mommy I love daddy.

Lesson over.

***I dedicate this picture to bear’s daddy.  Honey you’ve been replaced by a younger, more handsome little man.

Wow she’s growing so fast!

DMV Loves me

I’m a great driver.  I have never had a ticket or an accident (knock on wood) ever.  I’m super cautious when I’m on the road.

I was 17 when I first laid hands on the steering wheel. I drove with my permit for a year before I decided to take the plunge to get my drivers licence.  I wanted to be sure that I’ve mastered the art of driving.

Okay,  now take a moment everyone to finish doing what you’re doing.

Ready?

I failed.  I failed my drivers test.  It took me 5 times before I passed.  You read it right five…cinco…cinq…fünf…TIMES!!

On the  5th try I had to beg for a passing score.  I was one point from FAILING.

What’s the moral of this story?

The DMV does not want Asian women driving on the road.  Yeah  I said it.

**On a side note my mother in law refuses to sit in the car whenever I’m in the drivers seat.  The last time she sat with me she had a handful of plastic bags with her (just in case she gets car sick).

For my niece 1st birthday I wanted to give her the gift of driving.  Start her off young.

Dolores - July 27, 2010 - 3:46 pm

Ooohh she reminds of Kaylee in her little buggy.

Christopher Hartman - July 27, 2010 - 8:26 am

Mr.Thang - July 17, 2010 - 8:47 am

Carrie N. - July 16, 2010 - 7:47 am

It’s ok. I’m sure people stay off the road when I drive.

Sina Ngov - July 15, 2010 - 1:14 pm

Din Family

Some men are natural born fathers.  They live, breathe, and speak it.  I’m proud to say that my cousin Yeurn is one of those men.  He’s ready to welcome a new love into his life; a baby girl.  On Friday, I met up with the Dins to document their growing family. Congrats cuz!  You’re going to be a great father and friend to your little baby girl.

P.S. Grazielle you are the cutest prego ever!

Calling in Sick

Dear Blog,

Today I’m calling in sick.  Actually since the week started.  I’ve been in denial.  I figured if I don’t admit it, it will eventually go away on it’s own.  Poof be gone! HA!

I’ve been feeling under the weather since the holiday weekend.  I wake up each morning with only a quarter of energy to go off.  As I sit here typing my fingers are slowly falling asleep.  I crave sleep so BADDDDD!

I might have to show up to work tomorrow with a pillow and a nice warm fuzzy blankie (and a bucket of coffee).

Sincerely,

Mrs. Sleepy….Dizzy…Tired…Runny Nose…Watery Itchy Eyes…Thang

P.S. I will resume blogging ASAP.  I have so much to share!!
jai - July 12, 2010 - 3:09 pm

I hope you did because you really need to sleep & rest.

la + chhavy | nicky

They’ve been together for over eleven years and yet it feels like yesterday.  It was only yesterday that she asked him out (yup!).  It was only yesterday that he got down on one knee.  It was only yesterday when they found out about their new addition.  It seems like yesterday…

Sina Ngov - June 29, 2010 - 8:00 pm

Very, very, absolutely adorable.

Mosquito - June 29, 2010 - 3:44 pm

The second to the last picture is the cutest.. their pride and joy.

Carrie N. - June 29, 2010 - 2:40 pm

eight sides of Bear

When I was pregnant, I wanted a son….sooooooo bad!  When we found out that the little life in me was a girl I made the doctor recheck.  For the next 6 months we rechecked again and again and again.  What was I thinking?  It’s not my fault.  I was under the influence of donuts and cheesecakes.   I blame it all on the pregnancy.   I mean who eats fried chicken with orange soda for breakfast?  Only a pregnant person can justify for these actions.

It’s funny how life works.  You don’t always get what you want; you end up with what you need.  I needed her.  How can something so little have so much life?  She’s my pocket full of sunshine, all 8 sides of her.

Carrie N. - July 9, 2010 - 9:23 am

Don’t you still eat fried chicken and drink orange sodas for breakfast?

Orn - July 3, 2010 - 8:24 am

Nara- About 8 years ago my husband had already picked out names for our future kids (Claire, Ella, and Madison). He always wanted 3 daughters haha. So Claire became Claire Bear, then Ba-Bear, then the Bear. So now she responds to Bear. No one calls her Claire anymore. For some reason he thought that Claire was a sweet little girl’s name. Turns out Bear is the total opposite. She’s a little grizzly bear.

Nara - July 1, 2010 - 9:24 pm

so i’m interested to know how “bear” got stuck on her.

Jai - July 1, 2010 - 7:40 pm

Awwwwwww…so big so fast.

Melissa - July 1, 2010 - 1:41 pm

I would love to know what she’s thinking these pics. She is so darling and precious. I didn’t know either that she had so many teeth. cute, cute, cute!

Mr.Thang - July 1, 2010 - 1:24 pm

…my little bear…Mommy wanted a boy, but I always wanted you. I guess wishing on an “AIRPLANE” does come true! Happy Bear day — EveryDay!!

Srey Lin - July 1, 2010 - 1:22 pm
